Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our website and mobile application.
Last updated: August 7, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how LS JobBoard ("we", "us", "the Platform") handles your personal information when you use our website or our mobile application. It applies to job seekers, employers, and visitors alike.
By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Platform.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: your name, email address, password, and the account type you register as (job seeker or employer).
Profile information: your phone number, address or city, profile photo, education history, work experience, skills, and professional summary. Employers additionally provide company name, logo, website, size, and contact details.
Documents you upload: CVs and resumes in PDF, DOC, or DOCX format, video CVs, and certificates. These are stored so you can attach them to applications.
Activity information: the jobs you view, search for, save, and apply to; the messages you exchange through the Platform; and your subscription and payment history.
Technical information: your IP address, browser or device type, and the pages you visit, collected automatically to keep the Platform secure and working correctly.
3. How We Use Your Information
To create and maintain your account, and to sign you in.
To show your application, profile, and CV to employers whose jobs you apply to.
To let employers publish job listings and manage the candidates who apply to them.
To recommend jobs that match the skills, experience, and location on your profile.
To send you service emails — registration confirmations, password resets, application status changes, interview invitations, and subscription reminders.
To process subscription payments and issue invoices.
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and misuse of the Platform.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
4. What Employers Can See
When you apply for a job, the employer who posted it receives your profile, your selected CV, your certificates, and your answers to any screening questions they attached. This is the purpose of applying and cannot be undone once an application is submitted.
Employers can also see the status of your application and message you through the Platform. Their internal notes about you are never shown to you, and are not shared with other employers.
Your profile is not published publicly. Employers you have not applied to cannot browse or search your details.
5. AI Features
The Platform offers optional AI features: rebuilding a CV into an ATS-friendly format, generating interview preparation material, and helping employers draft job descriptions and emails.
When you use one of these features, the relevant text — for example the content of the CV you upload — is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate the result. It is used only to produce your output and is not used to train models.
These features are optional. If you do not use them, nothing is sent to the AI provider. The site owner can also switch them off entirely.
6. Payments
Subscription payments are processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe, PayPal, or Razorpay, depending on which the site owner has enabled.
Your card details are entered directly with the payment provider and are never stored on our servers. We retain only the record of the transaction — the plan purchased, the amount, the date, and the status — so we can issue invoices and support your account.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and keep the Platform secure.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from staying signed in and some features will not work.
8. Who We Share Information With
Employers, as described in "What Employers Can See" above.
Service providers who operate parts of the Platform on our behalf: our hosting provider, our email delivery provider, our payment providers, and our AI provider. They may only use the information to provide that service to us.
Legal authorities, where we are required by law to disclose information, or where it is necessary to protect our rights, safety, or the safety of others.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
9. How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your account information and profile for as long as your account is active.
Applications you have submitted are retained by the employer as part of their hiring records, and remain with them even if you later delete your account.
Transaction records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
10. How We Protect Your Information
All traffic between your device and the Platform is encrypted. Passwords are stored in hashed form and cannot be read by us or recovered — they can only be reset.
Access to personal data within the administration panel is restricted by role, so staff only see what their work requires.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
11. Your Rights
Access and correct: you can view and edit your profile, contact details, education, experience, skills, and uploaded documents at any time from your account.
Delete: you can delete your account from your account settings. This removes your profile and uploaded documents. Applications already sent to employers remain with those employers.
Object or restrict: you can contact us to ask that we stop processing your information for a particular purpose.
Export: you can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details at the end of this policy.
12. Children
The Platform is intended for people seeking or offering employment and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the minimum working age in their country.
If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the Platform changes or as the law requires. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
Where a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will notify you before it takes effect.
14. Contact Us
If you have questions about this policy or about how your information is handled, please reach us through the Contact page.
